google_bezel_issues.jpg

I have been working with the Google search appliance for about a year, and MAN! support is a bitch with these.

Here is a picture of our THIRD replacement.

google_new.jpg

Every time we receive a replacement it was because the issue we were having was a "known issue" and the fix they gave us was a new appliance. The other night we had a planned power outage, so we shut down all of our servers for it. After 8 hours we powered them all back on, and what do you know the only one NOT to come up was the yellow one.  Maybe the ones we have are yellow because they are lemons or maybe we should just HANG ourselves. I really hope this THIRD CHARMER gives us better luck cause the next time we have a issue that is resolved by sending out another, I will have to pull out my Light saber and DESTROY this robot.

tonka_truck.jpg

I was browsing a website that had pictures and descriptions of toys from the 1970's / 1980's and it had the above Tonka truck.  I remember playing with that truck, which to some was called and indestructible truck. But to my brother and I, it was FUN FUN FUN DESTRUCTOFUN! We had two trucks, one was the above dump truck and the other was some type of Tonka wrecker type truck.  We would have our trucks facing each other about 1 foot away, then we would start to BASH the HECK out of them like two RAMS fighting each other.  First the plastic windows would go, then bumpers and lights, and then one of our fingers or hands would get crushed or cut.  We would then stop and recover, and start again on the bashing.  We would bash them till the front of the trucks looked like they fell off of a 100 story building.  BUT NO that was not enough for our trucks! OH NO... we would grab some bricks (yes we had loose bricks in the back yard that my dad had) and start to crush any part of the truck that was not bent or in normal condition. After we got board with that, we would get some hammers (my brother would get the good hammer the one that was all metal and had a rubber handle) and we would make these trucks look "battle damaged". I will never forget the day that my dad found us "playing" with our trucks, and saying "HOW did you DO that to a TONKA Truck" with a very disappointed look on his face. My dad didn't have many toys when he was a kid, so I guess we just looked like mean, ungrateful, destructive kids. We had a lot of fun with our Tonka trucks, and we made them look like they came from the Star Wars universe, by adding some "battle damage" to them. We finally got rid of the trucks once we broke the tires off... they had some good times.  I never though our version of "playing with our Tonka trucks" was unusual until I started to talk to my friends about it. I wish I still had my old Tonka truck, so I could see the piece of art that my brother and I created.

Last year I visited Viansa Winery across the Golden Gate Bridge in Sonoma and here are some highlights.

Here is an animate gif of a flower I found on my walk up to the Winery.

This Winery has some really good wine, which you can only get at the winery or their online store.

When I was walking to my car to get on the road back home, I came across this car with 100 spoke DAYTONS.
I could not pass up a picture of this UGLY ASS site.

About five months ago I sent away for some "Star Wars Early Bird Figures" and they finally came.

These figures are only available if you send away by mail, similar to the ones back in 1977.
You had to buy the Early Bird Certificate Package ($29.00)then mail in the Certificate with the Original
reciept in-order for them to send them to you.  I was worried that I would get screwed, because
I purchased my Early Bird Certificate on the Internet. I was happy to see that I did not
get pooched like I thought I was. The figures are pretty cool but the COOLEST one is Luke Skywalker,
which they made his Light Saber slide out like the first 3 3/4 figure did back in 1977, total Retro to the MAX.

pancho_bird.jpg

There once was a bird named Pancho, who lived in a southwest desert. He was walking home one day and saw a small kitten by the side of the road.  The kitten asked Pancho if he had any water, and told him he had not had any in three days.  Pancho told the kitten that he did not have any with him and kept walking.  When Pancho got home, he thought of that kitten and went and got a big water bucket.  He filled it with ice cold water and started on his way back to see the kitten.  As he approached the kitten he asked him (with bucket in hand), have you ever wished it would pore rain when you are so thirsty?  The kitten said "Oh YES I was thinking that all day!". Then Pancho with big smile said, well your dream is going to come true, and threw the water in the sky.  Pancho then said, nice rain fall this year...
